LaSalle Street Canyon

This portion of LaSalle Street has been dubbed "The Canyon" because of the tall steep buildings on what is a relatively narrow street.  A median runs through most of LaSalle, which stretches from downtown, curving into Lake Shore Drive.  LaSalle dead ends into the Chicago Board of Trade in the Loop and then continues for a short distance to the south.  This photo was taken around dusk from the northbound lane in the street.  I like how the elements in the street add to the looming appearance of the highrises.
